When I was a kid, I explored imaginary worlds by writing stories. I drew maps and filled notebook pages with places my characters could go in future books. That interest in locale is part of why I think video game music caught my attention with its location-specific theme songs. I spent years remixing game music under the handle “Hylian Lemon” before I started developing a taste for writing original tunes, and when I did, I was inevitably drawn toward making “soundtracks” for fictional worlds. I love making music that’s catchy and fun, but I get extra motivated when a project gives me a reason to imagine new places.

My current long-term project is a series of original albums that tell an ever-expanding story set in a galaxy of fruit planets. I’ll keep remixing game music along the way.
